About Piston Marketplace
Piston Marketplace was built by a working flight instructor who got tired of the way aircraft classifieds sites do business: hidden fees, “call for price” listings, and clunky mobile experiences. We built something simpler: transparent pricing, no games, and a platform that actually works on your phone.
Why we started this
Every general aviation pilot knows the drill: you’re hunting for a plane, and half the listings on the big sites don’t even show a price. You call, you wait, you get a runaround. We think buying or selling a piston aircraft shouldn’t feel like negotiating a used car in 1995. So every listing here shows a real price, upfront, no exceptions.
What we list
Single-engine piston, multi-engine piston, and experimental aircraft, plus engines and parts. Whether you’re shopping for your first trainer or selling a plane you’ve flown for years, it’s all in one place, organized the way pilots actually search: by make, model, and classification, not buried behind a paywall or a sales call.
Verified sellers, real accountability
Sellers can verify ownership against FAA registry data, so buyers get an extra layer of confidence before they ever pick up the phone. It’s not required, but it’s there, and it’s free.
No sales tactics, ever
Every dollar you pay goes toward getting your aircraft in front of real buyers, not toward upsells, “featured” gimmicks disguised as necessities, or pressure to spend more than you need to. What you see is what you get.
